Sold Sept 24th, 2011 @ The Burlap Harlot Show - Anderson, California.
I was thrilled when the woman who bought this flower returned to this season’s show; wearing it on her hat! It was the ultimate compliment!

Hello fellow tumblrs!
I know, I’m terrible for neglecting this blog. (No posts for almost a year! What?!) But I really wanted to share my latest creations with you!
The lily represents “refined beauty”. That was my theme as I was making these beauties! I started with the turquoise-sequined flower, and loved it *so* much, I just couldn’t stop there.
Fifteen lilies (and 90 hand-stitched petals) later, here I am!
In a few days I will pack these bad babes up and make my way out to my favorite faire of the year; The Burlap Harlot Show! It’s a wonderful, eclectic faire, with great food, music, wine… and the coolest mix of artisans, all under one roof! If I could choose one phrase to describe this event, it would be “shabby chic sensory overload”. I’m serious; everywhere you look, there’s a new treasure to discover. Plus, it’s going on all Mothers’ Day weekend; what better way to show appreciation to your mother than bringing her to an unforgettable event like this?
Click here to visit The Burlap Harlot Show Blog… and get inspired! This year’s theme is “a vintage circus”. So exciting!
